Challenge
Scouting observations, biological control releases and treatment decisions were recorded on paper and in separate spreadsheets.
Approach
- Mapped the existing scouting route, record formats and decision points with the operations team
- Designed a mobile-first capture flow that matched how scouts already walk the crop
- Modelled zones, crops, pests and beneficials so records aggregate into trends
- Added dashboards for pressure by zone and release history
Solution
A mobile scouting and IPM record system with zone-level dashboards, release tracking and exportable history, designed to extend into sensor data and image-based detection.
Implementation
- 01Discovery and workflow mapping
- 02Data model and prototype
- 03Field trial with scouting staff
- 04Iteration on capture speed and offline tolerance
Key outcomes
- Scouting records captured digitally at the point of observation
- Zone-level pest pressure history available for review
- Foundation in place for sensor and computer-vision inputs
Only verified outcomes are published. Performance metrics appear here when the client has approved them.
